Theory of a Deadman, or Theory as they have been occasionally billing themselves of late, have covered the Chris Isaak classic "Wicked Game" for their Wake Up Call album and the band has just issued a new "visualizer" clip for the song that can be seen in the player above.

The album closing track is a fresh take on Isaak's slow burn favorite, starting with back strings and allowing Tyler Connolly to croon out the track, albeit in a more haunting vibe. As for the clip itself, it hints at the sexually charged vibe of the original, with a man and woman clearly feeling a raw connection to each other, but their game play takes a turn you likely won't see coming. See the visualizer for "Wicked Game" above.

Theory have taken on a more poppier approach with their latest album Wake Up Call, but have still managed to enjoy solid runs at rock radio with the tracks "RX (Medicate)" and "Straight Jacket." The "Wicked Game" cover should also have some crossover appeal.

You can look for the band returning to the road later this month, kicking off a European run of shows April 18 in Berlin. The band will launch their North American tour May 2 in their native Canada before dipping south of the boarder to the U.S. Shows are booked into August. See their current dates here.
