Remember when former Blink-182 guitarist / vocalist Tom DeLonge was speaking with high-level government officials about UFOs? According to Wikileaks, the musician may have been telling the truth!

Tom DeLonge has been known to spin a yarn from time to time. His former Blink bandmates repeatedly denied claims that DeLonge has been in contact or even recently met them in person. DeLonge has been interested in UFOs for decades and has spent some of his post-Blink life searching out classified information.

During an April interview with Rolling Stone, DeLonge said, “I have 10 people that I’m working with that are at the highest levels of the Department of Defense and NASA and the military.” Most readers took Tom’s claim with a grain of salt, but Wikileaks’ new wave of Hillary Clinton info shows DeLonge attempting to contact Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, about UFOs!

Podesta has spoken publicly about UFOs also. Having served in the administrations of Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, he tweeted last year that his biggest regret after leaving his position in Obama’s cabinet was that he failed to secure UFO files. One email from DeLonge, sent in October 2015, attempts to set up a meeting with Podesta:

I would like to bring two very ‘important’ people out to meet you in DC. I think you will find them very interesting, as they were principal leadership relating to our sensitive topic. Both were in charge of most fragile divisions, as it relates to Classified Science and DOD topics. Other words, these are A-Level officials. Worth our time, and as well the investment to bring all the way out to you. I just need 2 hours from you.

Just looking to have a casual, and private conversation in person.

The second email is from January of this year and contains the subject line “General McCasland’ - perhaps referring to a former Air Force official William Neil McCasland. “When Roswell crashed, they shipped it to the laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base,” DeLonge wrote. “General McCasland was in charge of that exact laboratory up to a couple years ago.” Another message in Podesta’s inbox is titled “DeLonge/Podesta Meeting.” [via Spin]

As of now, there’s no evidence that Mr. Podesta responded to DeLonge, but these emails do force readers to question whether or not the guitarist is actually working with General McCasland. Stay tuned for any further information on this bizarre story.
