Tool Concert Travel – I-90 Closed at Lookout Pass
Many Missoulians are planning to drive to Spokane today to see Tool tonight at the Spokane arena. It's scary enough driving on the black ice around Missoula, the drive to Spokane is going to be slow going, especially since I-90 is closed at Lookout Pass.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, as of 7:32 a.m, Tuesday, March 4, 2014:
I-90 LOOKOUT PASS Freezing Rain, Ice/Black Ice, Road Closed I-90 CLOSED DUE TO AVALANCHE THREAT LOOKOUT PASS TO SALTESE Freezing Rain, Ice/Black Ice, Road Closed I-90 CLOSED DUE TO AVALANCHE THREAT SALTESE TO ST. It's almost like Missoula is destined to never see Tool in concert. Remember when they cancelled a sold out show scheduled for the Adams Center on December 3, 2007? We ended up having a 'F**k Tool' party with free beer at the Silver Dollar.
If you're going to attempt the Thompson Falls to Sandpoint route, it's going to take extra time. We have emailed the promoters of tonight's Tool show to confirm they haven't cancelled due to traveling conditions for the band and have not heard back yet. We'd sure hate for you to risk your life getting to Spokane only to find out the show is cancelled. Fingers crossed for you Tool travelers.
