Meshuggah's seventh studio album, The Violent Sleep of Reason, (out now on Nuclear Blast) is a 10-track, nearly hour-long session of pure rhythmic demolition. The band has always been one of the most forward thinking acts across the board from composition to execution, delivering deeply philosophical lyrics, and especially here, with their artwork translating wonderfully in a mail-order exclusive box set filled with some goodies.

In the video above, we take a look at this limited box set, which contains a wearable mask from the character seen entangled on the cover, a huge Meshuggah flag, a pair of stickers and a pair of buttons, guitar pick card and a digipak CD and proof of authenticity.

The mask is easily the most eye-catching aspect of this set, which is great with Halloween around the corner. If you're at a party, you'll likely run into a couple Eddies and a Papa Emeritus or two, but odds are you'll be the one getting all the attention. The flag is another great addition to this set with a great use of tone blends between the vibrant blue and earthy, red and orange.

Head over to the Nuclear Blast webstore for everything Meshuggah, and look out for the Swedish outfit on tour now with High on Fire. See a full list of remaining stops at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
