There were three armed robberies on Tuesday morning. Two between 12:45 and 1:15 a.m. and a third in the 7 o'clock hour.

Missoula Police detective sergeant Travis Welsh says an investigation is ongoing as to whether one individual may have been responsible for all three robberies. The suspect in the third robbery is described as being between 5'5 and 5'10, with a slight build, a scraggly beard of facial hair and wearing a checkered hoody. He brandished a silver colored handgun, which is similar to the gun used in the other two robberies.

Welsh says the suspect may have escaped the area in a smaller dark-colored SUV, perhaps a Kia or a Hyundai.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 721-44-44.

Detective Sergeant Travis Welsh
