Uproar Festival Line Up Revealed, Matt Tuck Describes New Bullet For My Valentine Side Project — Angel’s Rock Report
Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach and Adelitas Way will all be on the third annual Uproar Festival. The tour has expanded by adding a second stage that will feature P.O.D., Redlight King, Thousand Foot Krutch and many more. Uproar will hit 30 cities in August and September — dates and venues will be announced soon.
Linkin Park will play a May 18th benefit at the House of Blues in Hollywood to support Music for Relief’s Power the World initiative. But only fan club members can buy tickets. The goal of Power the World is to help one-million families gain access to sustainable energy.
The show will also be a warm-up for Linkin Park’s European tour, which starts May 26th in Portugal. They’ll be debuting songs from their new album, Living Things, which is due out June 26th.
Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck has unveiled his new “metal as [bleep]” side project. It’s called AxeWound, and it doesn’t feature Tuck on lead vocals — Cancer Bats singer Liam Cormier handles those duties. Tuck tells the BBC, “It’s going to be different, not being the main vocalist, but it’s something I look forward to, [to] just enjoy being a guitar player and a songwriter.”
AxeWound are giving away their debut single, “Post Apocalyptic Party,” through their website. A full album is due out this summer.
