The Missoula County Attorney’s Office experienced a rather busy crime week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says her office filed 14 new criminal complaints this week.

“Five of those fall into the violent crime category with three of them falling into the partner or family violence crime category,” Pabst said. “One of those was a partner or family member assault third offense, one was a first, and the other was an aggravated assault in which the allegation is the defendant strangled the victim until she was unconscious.”

Violent crimes continue to occur on a weekly basis in Missoula. According to Pabst, there were a handful of drug cases as well.

“There were two methamphetamine cases,” Pabst said. “One of those cases involved three counts of possession of meth with intent to distribute. There were two opioid cases, one possession of heroin, and the other was possession of heroin and meth.”

There were two sex cases that were charged and one involved child pornography. There were also four property crimes and they all fell into the theft category.
