The chain of superstores known for attracting humanity's finest is rolling back prices on PlayStation 4 consoles for all you last minute holiday shoppers.

Walmart is officially selling core PlayStation 4 consoles for $329, which is $70 cheaper than its usual price and makes it $20 lower than the Kinect-less version of the Xbox One. We're guessing that the Xbox One has been doing well this holiday season due to its various bundles and price slashes while Sony has remained rather adamant about its new console's pricing. It did announce a couple of special bundles for Black Friday last month, but the Xbox One's discounts were just too good to pass up, as its recent sales have shown.

You could of course use this new $329 price to price-match at other stores, such as Best Buy and other places that do that sort of thing. Unfortunately, Walmart's deal is for store pickup online and not for online delivery. This is a good deal if you're looking to get someone just a PS4 console without any games for a low price. Whether or not this deal appears elsewhere officially remains to be seen, but the price wars are on, and that's good news for consumers.
