Free Beer, Hot Wings and Zane watched a troubling video of police brutality that’s been going viral since it appeared on Reddit yesterday. In the video, a Philadelphia police officer can be seen hitting a woman in the face.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the police officer in question is Lieutenant Jonathan Josey, a 19-year veteran of the force. After watching the clip, the guys were kind of shocked.

“He cold cocks her one,” said Free Beer, as he was analyzing the video for the radio audience. ”It appears that he swung without looking. He hit a woman who was cowering and moving away.”

Hot Wings tried to play devil’s advocate, saying that he thought “she was asking for it” by appearing to mess around with a cop in the first place. ”She was out there being an A-hole,” said Hot Wings.

But Free Beer and Zane would hear nothing of it.

“I think he’s gonna get in trouble,” said Zane. ”Throwing water on a cop means you get punched in the face? How about arrested?”

Free Beer agreed, saying, “The response needs to be reasonably measured.”

Do you think the officer overreacted? Watch the video here:
