Josh Homme got into it with security this weekend when Queens of the Stone Age played the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Spain Saturday night (July 14). The frontman was unhappy that fans weren't being allowed into a VIP section in front of the stage, and demanded venue staff grant them access, going so far as to hold off performing until they gave in.

“Hey security, I think you should let all these people in over here," Homme can be seen saying in the clip above. "All you people over here just come in. Come in...come on, come in down here."

Homme then walked over to the side of the stage and began to wave people in, but apparently, security didn't budge, so the frontman walked back to the microphone to speak directly to staff again.

"Security, I want you to let those people in," he says. "Come on. Come in over the wall. Come over the wall and come down with me. I'm not gonna play until those people come over the wall and come down here. So you better fuckin' let them in because you work for me tonight. That's right, come in - come on! Let 'em in!"

The singer then began yelling "let them in" a chant which the crowd quickly joins him on before he adds, "Because it’s a Queens Of The Stone Age concert and you can do whatever the fuck you want to do. You know what to do. Let them in or I will walk down there and let them all in.” The band then finished the song, and Homme went for another round with security.

"Let 'em all in motherfucker, let 'em all in," he said before encouraging fans to jump the fence. "Look at my face: let 'em in, or I will walk down there and let them all in - everywhere. That's right, jump the fence - jump the fuckin' fence and come over. You know why? 'Cause I'm for letting it all go. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is never here, right now is all you'll ever get."

Apparently satisfied, the band then kicked into "The Evil Has Landed," the second single to last year's Villains LP. During the song though, he shouted at security to "go easy" on members of the audience. "Security, go easy on these kids down here too," he said when the song concluded. "I'll kick you out. I'll kick all the security out, then the whole place will run free. So watch your fuckin' ass security...be nice or be fucking gone."

Homme takes one final dig at festival security, saying, "The reason I told these people to come over and hang out with all of you, is because I'm gettin' sick of everyone telling everyone what to do. I'm sick of everyone being offended...and sensitive. We've traveled thousands of miles to play your party, just to give you a night that you'll never remember. And we won't leave until you're fucked up, high, dancin', makin' out with someone or having the best time of your life."

QOTSA resume their tour Aug. 18 at the Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo, Japan before heading to New Zealand and Australia for the remainder of the month into September. The full list of dates can be found here.
