Wes Scantlin's performance with Puddle of Mudd at this year's Rockin' the Rivers festival in Three Forks went exactly as expected, a total s**t show.

Last week, we brought you the news that Wes had been arrested in South Dakota for his 2nd DUI in less than a month. He still managed to play Puddle of Mudd's show there on August 5th, just 3 days before the Montana performance, so there was hope that he would pull through and do a good show, not so much.

According to witnesses, Wes took the stage on Saturday (August 8th) and greeted the audience with "I'm gonna' get laid!" The band then reportedly performed 3 songs with pre recorded vocals before Wes declared that he was done and had to pee. The band followed him off stage and brought him back out for some cover songs, most of which he did seated as to not fall down.

Here's how some festival goers described the performance:

Never in all my years have I been so insulted by a "lead singer" being paid to entertain a group of people. I've seen some bulls**t but this a**hole TAKES THE CAKE!

This is exactly what i expected! What a lucky guy! He is totally wasted and out of time, out of key and out of tune. Played 3 puddle songs (prerecorded vocals even!!) and then the rest was cover songs! If ya wanna see the worst, this is it! And he still gets paid!

As you can see in the video (the sound quality is not the best but you get the drift), Wes seems to forget the words to their popular single "She Hates Me", does a weird little jig with his fingers and then swings his mic almost taking out a guitar player.

In addition, a fan who attended the 'meet and greet' reports that Wes had to be escorted to the meeting in a golf cart where attendees were instructed not to ask him any questions or ask for autographs.

Somebody needs an intervention. We wish Wes, and especially his band mates, the very best of luck. And do NOT let this sour your impression of Rockin' the Rivers, it's an incredibly fun festival and all of the other performers were outstanding according to attendees.
