The National Weather Service is reporting the kind weather system that has not been experienced in Western Montana in several decades. They are predicting up to 30 (thirty!) inches of snowfall mixed with rain in northwest Montana, with an avalanche warning in effect for Kalispell. There is currently a winter storm warning in effect for north west Montana.

With that in mind, several school districts have already cancelled school for Monday, February 6th. There will be no school for Libby, Troy and Eureka, but the school itself will be open in Eureka for kids who need a place to go, and will be serving breakfast and lunch.

We will keep you up to date with any additional school closures.
