Which Artist Would You Like To See Come Back To Life As A Hologram? — Angel’s Rock Report

Soundgarden have released the video for “Live to Rise” from Avengers Assemble. It’s the first video in 16 years from Chris Cornell and company. But if you don’t want any spoilers about The Avengers, we’d suggest avoiding the clip, as it has plenty of action sequences from the soon-to-be-blockbuster.

Highlights of last month’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will premiere on HBO on Saturday. The Class of 2012 includes The Small Faces, The Faces, Donovan, Laura Nyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys, Freddie King and Guns n’ Roses.

All it takes is the one hologram of the late rapper Tupac Shakur at the recent Coachella festival to start a wish list of artists we’d like to see come back to life. Rolling Stone polled its readers and their Top 10 is as follows: Jimi Hendrix followed by another dead member of the Seattle music community, Kurt Cobain, and John Lennon at three. Freddie Mercury comes in at four, Jim Morrison five, Jerry Garcia at six, Janis Joplin seven, Michael Jackson eight, Bob Marley at nine and Notorious BIG at 10.

Mick Jagger will host the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 19th. He’s performed on the show twice and taken part in sketches, but this will be his first time hosting. Jagger last appeared on SNL in 2001. –Sal Cirrincione
