I never thought I would type those words.. Growing up (yes, here comes another "my old man" story. Hang in there, Corky) my old man would watch Star Trek religiously. He, in fact, was a "Trekie". Since we only had 1 t.v in the house, and only 3 freekin channels anyway, I was forced to watch along with him. I've never thought of Mr. Shatner to be a rocker. More like a ladies man with a obsessive disorder that forces him to save you tons of money on hotels and airfare.

Then about 5 months ago Zakk Wylde tweeted that he was working with "Father Shatner" on an Ironman cover. This of course peeked my interest.. What the hell was Zakk doing rockin out with Captain effing Kirk?? Well, it turns out, Billy Boy is making a metal cover album! No kidding! It has guests from everyone like Zakk Wylde, Mike Inez, Peter Frampton and more! Not only that, but he is receiving an "Honorary Headbanger" award (presented by Scott Ian and Brian Posehn.. shh don't tell anyone though. Thats hush hush) at the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods awards in Los Angeles. I'll be there to report back live, and hopefully get some rad pics of Bill getting his award. For now check out the track listing of his album, and read the full article at Revolver Magazine: ARTICLE
