The 36th Annual Bitterroot Special Olympics will take over Lost Trail Ski Area next Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25.

Organizer Randy Hodgson said it is the 36th year for the event, which began in 1981.

As always, volunteers are needed to help the two-day event run smoothly. Set-up of the courses on the hill and the registration areas in the lodge will be Monday, January 23. The Grand Entry will be Tuesday, January 24, at about 2 p.m., with events starting that day and continuing through Wednesday January 25.

Winter events include snowshoe, skiing, tubing and more. The Lone Rock Rockets team is host this year with the theme "Launch for Success."

If you can volunteer for part of a day, a whole day or for the entire event, call Carla at (406) 363-3028.

Check out the Facebook page for information. Remember the slogan- "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt."
