World Fire Brigade has an impressive lineup in their own respect, but when you add Pearl Jam and Anthrax members to the mix — the supergroup sounds even more super. Get all the details on the exciting new project that has somehow kept a relatively low profile until now.

World Fire Brigade first showed up on the radar in 2009 as a collaboration between Fuel singer Brett Scallions and Smile Empty Soul frontman Sean Danielsen. Though an album has been long in the works, only a couple of songs had surfaced until recently. The lineup that once featured Brad Stewart of Shinedown,  has now been solidified as Danielsen, Scallions and keyboardist/producer Eddie Wohl.

Their debut album, ‘Spreading My Wings,’ is finally complete and will be released by FrostByte Media on Aug. 28. In addition to the core lineup, which for this album features drummer Ken Schalk, the debut will feature guest spots from Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready and Anthrax axe-slinger Rob Caggiano.

“This is a record filled with all emotions, songs that fall back and forth from major to minor,” says Scallions of the new material. “I love that it’s a heavy record with sing-a-long melodies. You don’t hear that too much in this style of music.” Although the disc has yet to drop, you can check out the title track (below), as well a good portion of their other tracks, on YouTube.
