Worried About Trash in the Clark Fork this Summer? Do Something About It.

The Cash Hyde Foundation has put together Missoula’s 1st Annual Reggae On The River clean up effort. It will be a day of community fun & river cleanup with a special performance by legendary reggae artist Pato Banton.

Of course, the first step in keeping the Clark Fork clean, is not littering it up in the first place. At some point, you will flip off your tube with a beer, it's inevitable. But it helps if your beer is in a can rather than a bottle. And by now, everyone should be carrying mesh river bags for their trash. You can pick up a free PBR bag at Orange Street Food Farm, Strongwater also carries reusable river bags.

If you plan to participate in the 3rd annual Midnight Glow Float on July 30th, please plan to be at Caras Park on Tuesday, August 2nd between noon and 10 p.m. to help with river clean up. There will also be plenty of kid's activities, food and beer.

Zoo Town Surfers will be shuttling floaters up river all day and Strongwater will show off their river boards on Brennan's Wave. All participants who fill up at least one river bag of garbage will be allowed free admission to the Pato Banton performance at 7:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cash Hyde Foundation and Brennan’s Wave.
