Bringing the kids out to the park just got a little more expensive. The Missoula City Council has approved a plan to increase fees for park users in 2019.

This comes as a result of the new budget Missoula Parks and Recreation is working with - they've been crunching the numbers and this was determined as the best course of action.

Luckily, most of the prices aren't going up that much. KPAX mentions that, for example, Splash Montana and Current is only raising its price by 50 cents, making it $7.25 for adults and $5 for kids.

On the flipside, if you want to rent a softball field, that could cost as much as $5 an hour, which could really add up depending on how long the game goes. Do you think these price hikes are a good idea, or should Parks and Rec have found another way to save money somewhere?
