Ready for the holiday shopping season? We've visited with many of Missoula's major stores for you to give you an idea of what to expect, so you can have a plan of attack.

Let's start with Walmart. Here's manager Bill Smith from the Brooks Street Walmart on the plans for Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Rob Hooper, floor manager at Missoula's Best Buy, says they'll open their doors at midnight Friday morning.

Rob Warren, Manager of Shopko, says the store will be closed from 1 to 9 pm on Thanksgiving, then the doors will open at 9 for holiday shopping.

Southgate Mall will be closed for Thanksgiving Day, but Marketing Director Tricia Piedalue says the mall will open at midnight Friday morning, and will be serving an early morning catered breakfast to shoppers.

As an alternative to the whole Black Friday philosophy, the Missoula Downtown Association has their own holiday plans, according to Marketing and Events Director Colin Hickey, starting with small-business Saturday.

One thing all the merchants agree on is to shop local this holiday season! So plan your attack, and happy shopping from Townsquare Media!
