There has been rumors that Pantera is considering a reunion. As we all know, the band could not be complete without the legendary Dimebag Darrell. And the band feels that the thought of a reunion could bring back haunting memories of the past. But, hypothetically, if they were to reunite, not a lot of guitarists could match what Dimebag brought to music. The only person who even comes close is Zakk Wylde.

In a recent interview with 97.1 The Eagle Rocks. Vinnie Paul says that “I spent two hours with Zakk, sitting down — a really great talk,” described Paul. “I mean, [Zakk] and my brother were so tight. If [a PANTERA reformation] ever were to happen, [Zakk] would be the guy [to step in for Dimebag]. But I honestly think, out of respect for my brother, we should just leave the 14 amazing years Pantera had be. We’re all happy doing our own thing. We have to continue living and do other things.”

Once again. It is just a hypothetical situation. But if it ever was to happen, Zakk told billboard.com “I love all those guys. It would be an honor. How could I say no? I’d do my best to make them proud.” Vinnie Paul stated in a recent interview that Wylde and Dimebag were really tight and that it would make sense for him to take part, but out of respect for his brother he feels that Pantera’s legacy should be left alone."

I guess we just leave it up to them. Could Pantera reunite? Or do they let the past be the past? We will just have to wait and see.
