When you're born in Missoula, Montana, you think you live in a pretty special place. It's not until you get a little older that you realize everyone else thinks so too. Students from all over the world come to Missoula to attend the University of Montana. People from some of the most beautiful places on earth relocate to Missoula. It's not just our natural beauty, it's our vibe. And musicians, both up and coming and renowned, know this and continue to visit the Garden City time and time again.
I've seen some over-the-top mind-blowing concerts right here in my hometown, and I don't take that for granted, I do realize not everyone can say that about the place they grew up. Singing along to "Satisfaction" with Mick Jagger, my mom, and thousands of Missoulians is one of my greatest memories. Seeing and hearing rock pioneers Jane's Addiction with my own eyes and ears just feet away from the band at the Wilma is something I still can't even comprehend. I know you feel the same way about some of the biggest shows that Missoula has hosted.
