It happens to the best of them, as you're about to witness in our newest Loud List. When rock and metal frontmen have played hundreds or even thousands of shows, chances are they've had lyrical mishaps on occasion.

In this Loud List, we've rounded up nine instances where singers drew a mental blank or got mixed up onstage. These lyric fails were all caught on tape, whether simply caught on a fan's camera or broadcast to millions of people.

Some of these blunders were unfortunately immortalized via television, like Staind frontman Aaron Lewis accidentally switching around the National Anthem's lyrics during baseball's 2014 World Series. Senses Fail vocalist Buddy Nielsen also suffered an embarrassing lyrical botch on TV, forgetting the entire first verse to "Rum is for Drinking, Not for Burning" while performing on a 2005 episode of Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
