There are also many vendors with hand made beaded crafts and food booths, which include a variety of Indian Tacos for sale.
The powwow grounds are located just east of Arlee, Montana. Arlee is about 20 miles north of Missoula on Highway 93. signs from the road will help guide you in. Please remember, no drugs, alcohol, fireworks or firearms are allowed. Admission is free.
The powwow officially begins on Thursday, June 29th with the evening memorial and "Camper's Day" is Wednesday, June 28th. A lot of new, fun events have been added this year, including a Fry Bread Cook Off and Youth Day. The new Arlee Powwow website is incredibly helpful, you can also keep up with events on the official Facebook page.
