A Carousel For Missoula Vandalized, the Community Comes to the Rescue
Earlier this week, a group of teens were seen busting up the big mirrors on the outside of the Carousel, causing about $1700 worth of damage to one of many local businesses that are already suffering from COVID-19 related closure. Gotta say, I was really disappointed to hear it was high schoolers as I'm such a fan of Gen Z, and champion them quite a bit on the air. Hopefully this is an isolated incident, and the vandals learned something from their actions.
Regardless, our amazing community has come to the rescue. The incident happened on Wednesday, 4/15, and by today, Saturday, 4/18, the Carousel has raised nearly enough money needed for the repairs. Can't say I'm surprised, but I'm certainly impressed and proud of our community.
