As I parked my car and the wind threw my door out of my hand into a coworker's car this morning, I got to wondering about what it is finally going to deliver.

Luckily it was a very minor door ding and a very understanding coworker, so no worries, but with these relentless windy conditions since late Friday night, you had to figure a storm was making its way to western Montana. Looks like that time is upon us.

The National Weather Service in Missoula is calling for rain likely by late tonight or early Tuesday morning, with new precipitation amounts of between one-tenth and one-quarter inch possible. Windy conditions will remain in effect, with gusts as high as 30 miles per hour.

Another tenth to a quarter inch of rain is forecast Tuesday afternoon and evening, as well as Wednesday, with possibly heavier amounts accompanying some thunderstorms. We should have (WHAT?) fairly calm winds Tuesday afternoon and evening, but we could have another round of wind on Wednesday.

It looks like everything starts to mellow out by Thursday, with less wind and rain. That is the same for Friday, although we're still not expecting much sunshine. Daytime highs won't be too far below normal.

Can I leave you with "Sunny and 71" on Saturday? Oh, and no wind. That is how things are shaping up as we head into the weekend.

Here's hoping that not too many objects in your yard have found their way a few blocks down in someone else's yard yet.
