American Idol Virtual Auditions Come To Montana

If you’ve ever sung into a beer bottle while thinking you’re going to win American Idol, then September 9th is your time to shine. The good news is, you won’t need to go all the way to California or Tennessee. You’ll be able to sing virtually from home!

American Idol Auditions Are Coming to Montana Virtually

American Idol Auditions are coming to Montana via video conferencing (via Zoom) on September 9th.

In the past, people would travel long distances (and wait in line for hours) to audition for American Idol. With the new “Idol Across America” virtual audition series, people in Montana can audition remotely from their homes (as long as they have reliable internet).

Your Living Room Could Be Your Audition Room

Hopeful contestants will have the ability to speak with one of American Idol’s producers in real-time. If successful, they may receive feedback on their performance and the opportunity to continue moving forward in the competition.

The group of states participating together includes: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah & Wyoming.

Having your own home as your audition space is something I really like about this for Montana. We have many talented musicians throughout our state (which is roughly the size of a small country). It doesn’t make sense for someone who lives in Missoula, Billings, Butte, Havre to spend $500-$1000 dollars to fly somewhere so they can stand in a long line for 2-6 hours waiting to sing for 5 minutes in front of an American Idol producer.

With the virtual audition process, you now have the option to hold your auditions in your bedroom, basement, garage, or wherever you feel most at ease singing loudly enough so the neighbors won’t call the sheriffs.
