Amon Amarth Fan Stabbed After Show in Canada
Update Oct. 2 at 2PM: The victim has succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital.
An Amon Amarth fan was stabbed after leaving the band's show Monday night (Sept. 30) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, according to CTV News Edmonton.
A man in his 30s was leaving the Edmonton Convention Centre after Amon Amarth's concert, which ended around 10 PM, and was involved in a fight and stabbed. Several of the intersections in the area had been closed down after the victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra hospital.
Luckily a large crowd of people were around after the concert ended, and bystanders in the area held the suspect, mid-30s, until the police arrived. The suspect's dog was tied to a pole outside of the venue and he was believed to have been riding a bike as well.
So far, the police don't have an update on the victim's condition in the hospital, though Sgt. Lance Parker initially stated "it wasn't looking good." Now, homicide detectives are investigating the situation, and there is apparently a decent amount of video footage from surveillance cameras in the area.
