Every Time I Die Guitarist Makes His All Elite Wrestling Debut as ‘The Butcher’
Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams has been moonlighting as a wrestler for quite a while now. But that side hustle appears to have paid off as the musician made his debut last month as All Elite Wrestling contender "The Butcher." The tag team match aired on TNT Wednesday night (Dec. 11).
Theatrically emerging from beneath the ring alongside his wrestling partner, "The Blade" (Jesse Guilmette AKA Braxton Sutter), the pair blindsided wrestler Cody (Cody Rhodes), the entertainer who is also the executive vice president of All Elite Wrestling. It was the first match together for "The Butcher and the Blade" on AEW Dynamite alongside third partner "The Bunny" (AKA Allie, real name Laura Dennis, the real-life wife of Guilmette). Watch some highlights from the brutal takedown toward the bottom of this post.
As noted by Bleacher Report, Cody had just returned to the ring following a Nov. 9 match against AEW World Champion and Fozzy bandleader Chris Jericho that took place during AEW's pay-per-view event Full Gear.
Williams sure has come a long way since losing his first professional wrestling match back in 2016. But the rocker-turned-wrestler quickly got back to work in the ring later that year.
And although Every Time I Die are currently working on their next album, the various members' extracurricular activities seem to be expanding. After all, vocalist Keith Buckley is now an ordained minister.
