The big announcement was made yesterday, Slipknot have signed on to headline this summer's Rockstar Mayhem Festival. Also on the tour are Slayer, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria and "a very special guest to be announced on March 5th." Rumor has it that guest is our man Lemmy & Motörhead. The festival starts on June 30th in San Bernardino, California and hits 26 cities including the White River Amphitheater in Seattle on July 3 and Boise for the 4^th of July. That’s a helluva 4^th of July holiday there!

Theory of a Deadman will kick off a U.S. spring tour on April 9th in Tallahassee, Florida with Pop Evil as the opening act. The two bands will hit 21 cities.

The Giagantour, with Megadeth, Motörhead, Lacuna Coil and Volbeat, starts today in Camden, New Jersey. Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia feels this tour has something for every type of metal fan and that there's no chance of anyone getting bored at the shows.
