In the past decade, Metallica's done a soul-baring documentary (Some Kind of Monster), a collaboration with a fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member (Lulu with Lou Reed) and an album with an orchestra (S&M), so where could they go next? How about 3D? Deadline.com reports that Metallica and their management are in talks with producer Charlotte Huggins for a 3D feature film. Huggins produced the 3D films Journey to the Center of the Earth and its just-finished sequel, Journey Two: The Mysterious Island.  With the new "Big D" at the Carmike 12, hopefully this comes our way.

Ozzy's Osbourne's second book, the just published Trust Me, I'm Dr. Ozzy: Advice From Rock's Ultimate Survivor, has landed at number-12 on The New York Times Hardcover Advice & Miscellaneous bestsellers list. It's the follow-up to his 2010 memoir, I Am Ozzy, which went to number-two in the Times and three in The Wall Street Journal.

Sick Puppies' frontman Shimon Moore says he's started writing songs for their fourth album. The band finished up a U.S. tour in Las Vegas last week.
