BALLSY: Montana Fraternity Launches Wild Testicle Festival Event

Ah, the memories of college days that have long passed. The hazy memories of wild parties. The taste of a bovine testicle fried to perfection. It feels like only yesterday the annual Testy Fest in Clinton, MT was a highlight of the summer. The adult carnival of debauchery and Rocky Mountain Oysters coincided with the giant motorcycle rally in South Dakota. Unfortunately, the debauchery got out of hand and the festival has "gone the way of the Dodo bird."

For those with a taste for "calf fries" and want a good party, the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity is hosting its annual philanthropy event. The annual Alpha Gamma Rho "Testy Fest" has grown from more than just a "Greek fundraiser." The event has grown so big that it has to be held at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.

Testicle Festival or “Testy Fest” is an annual philanthropic country music concert hosted by the Alpha Delta Chapter of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at Montana State University. The concert aims to raise money for various local, and statewide organizations including Montana FFA, Montana 4H, Heroes and Horses, Gallatin Valley YMCA, and Eagle Mount of Bozeman. While the name my be off-putting, it’s simply meant to honor Montana’s rich agricultural history and the serving of our famous Rocky Mountain Oysters.

 

As someone who was VERY involved in the Greek system at the UM, I can tell you that this will be more than just some "Animal House" style party. The men and women involved in the university Greek system are future leaders and residents who will go out of their way to be involved in the community and community service.

Do not let the stereotype confuse you, My favorite way of describing being part of the Greek system is "From the outside looking in, it is hard to understand. But, from the inside looking out, it is hard to explain." The level of comradery and community involvement is the cornerstone of Greek organizations.

This year's event is happening as we are writing this. But , we are already intrigued by what the men at Alpha Gamma Rho have planned for next year's annual "BALL."
