Bannack Montana Is Having a Super Scary Halloween Ghost Show
The Ghost Town of Bannack, Montana, is set to come to life this Halloween with an exciting and spooky "Ghost Walk".
The town of Bannack, Montana, is the best preserved Ghost Town in the state. Bannack State Park, located just outside of Dillion is the site of Montana's first bustling gold rush due to its first discovery in July of 1862. In just over a year the town's population boomed to over 3000 people. Just like most gold rush towns, however, as soon as the gold ran dry, so did the population.
The state park now serves tourists and history buffs with various tours and activities. Year-round you can visit and enjoy a tour, or do some camping, hiking, fishing, have a picnic, explore your photography skills, and even do some ice skating in the winter.
This Halloween season the Bannack Association is bringing the town to life with a spooky ghost walk that is sure to be a blood-curdling good time for the whole family. It will happen on both October 21st, and 22nd. The ghost walk will focus on live performances being reenacted from actual events that took place in Bannack years past. There will be loud gunfire from blank bullets, so take caution if you have little ones, dogs, or people that are uncomfortable with loud noises.
The price will run you $15.00 per adult and $10.00 for kids 12 and under. Reservations are required. You can reserve via the event Facebook page HERE or via their official event reservation page located HERE.
Make sure to reserve your spot quickly, as there is a good chance spots will fill up fast and don't forget it's Montana, so prepare for whatever weather might be on hand.
