The summer evenings at the Daly Mansion are exceptional. That's why the Bitterroot Community Band has their annual fundraiser on the expansive grounds northeast of Hamilton. Thursday, July 26, the band, under the direction of Jeremy Ruff, will have their annual Strawberry Shortcake Daly Mansion Concert.

The gates open at 6 p.m. with a $5 per person admission charge. It's $15 for a family and those aged 5 or younger are free. The music starts at 7 p.m. with some of the band members' favorite songs of their summer series. At intermission of the program, the strawberry shortcake is served up at a cost of $3 per plate. The money helps the band buy sheet music each year and helps with other costs incurred during their yearly performances, which include Thursday evenings at the Claudia Driscoll Park bandshell and appearances at the Creamery Picnic and the Ravalli County Fair. Bring your picnic dinner, come early and enjoy the evening with the BCB.
