The bandshell at Hamilton's Claudia Driscoll Park will become the Thursday evening musical centerpiece starting June 28. That's the night of the first summer concert for the Bitterroot Community Band, starting at 7:30 p.m. The band is made up of volunteer musicians, including current and former music teachers. Their rehearsals have been happening at the Stevensville School band room and Director Jeremy Ruff will have some new music for the audiences again this year.

The band will have their main fundraiser at the Daly Mansion the evening of July 26. That's the one with strawberry shortcake for sale at intermission! The band will also be playing at the Stevensville Creamery Picnic and the Ravalli County Fair. At the bandshell, they play every other week. The "in-between" Thursdays are filled by local bands. Next Thursday, July 5th, "Bittersweet" will be on the stage.
