Paranoid is important because it’s the blueprint for metal. It led the world into a new sound and scene,” writes Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford in the liner notes to the Super Deluxe edition of Black Sabbath’s influential classic Paranoid. The new collection includes the 2012 remaster of the original album, in addition to a rare 1974 quad mix folded down to stereo, plus two European concerts from 1970, including an official release of the legendary RTBF live show recorded in Brussels. The four-disc set comes packaged with a hardbound book, including extensive liner notes featuring new interviews with all four band members, rare photos, and memorabilia, along with a 22"x22" poster and a replica of the tour book sold during the original Paranoid tour.
