Late last year it was revealed that Broken Hope guitarist Jeremy Wagner had purchased six of the late, great Slayer axeman's Jeff Hanneman‘s personal guitars.

After buying the guitars, Wagner told Guitar World, “Riffs are just flowing out of me. I feel a real responsibility to Jeff and to Kathryn to use these guitars in a way that honors him. As long as I own these guitars, I will use them and carry on Jeff Hanneman‘s legacy. He remains a huge influence to me, and I probably wouldn’t be here as an extreme metal guitarist/lyricist without him.”

Wagner made good on the promise to use the guitars, employing Hanneman's guitars in the recording of Broken Hope's latest album Mutilated & Assimilated, which is set to be released next year. All of Wagner and Damian Leski's rhythm guitar tracks on the album feature the Hanneman guitars. Once a release date is confirmed and we get more information about the disc, we'll pass it along to you.

Mutilated & Assimilated will be Broken Hope's seventh studio album, and the first to feature bassist Diego Soria (Disgorge) and guitarist Matt Szlachta (ex-Chimaira).
