A yearling bull moose was shot and left to waste northwest of Superior, according to Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks wardens.

The carcass was found Friday, October 7, and officials believe the shooting happened as early as Wednesday October 5th.

Warden Tyler Ramaker said the moose was shot on the Warnken Ranch Block Management Area, near the shore of Bouchard Lake.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). You can remain anonymous and could be eligible for up to $1,000 reward if the information leads to a conviction.

Investigation is continuing.
