Missoula Restaurant Demands Return of Beloved Coyote
UPDATE: Mari the coyote has been returned!
Thieves sure are bold. Check out the surveillance video of this person snatching a coyote right out in the open. The Camino Mexican restaurant in downtown Missoula posted the footage after they realized their beloved piece of art was missing. You can see the video below.
The Camino is on the east side of The Mercantile, next to the fancy AC Hotel. I personally have yet to eat there, but I hear great things about the food and their happy hour. The restaurant was celebrating its 2 year anniversary on Sunday, November 28th when their "precious coyote" was stolen. Her name is Mari and she was crafted as a special gift to the business by local artist Melissa Thompson. She's amazing by the way, check out her work here.
If you know the people in the video or have any information about the missing coyote, you are asked to call 573-424-6153. If you stole Mari and are feeling guilty, you are also invited to drop it off here at our offices during regular business hours, no questions asked. Our address is 3250 South Reserve, our front door is on the right (south) side of the Western Montana Lighting building and we are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
