Changes in the Bitterroot River To Be Examined Wednesday
How has the Bitterroot River changed over the recent years? The Bitter Root Water Forum will have a panel of three river specialists Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at a public meeting near Woodside. "From Fishing to Farming: How Climate is Affecting the Bitterroot" is the theme for the speakers, who include Chris Clancy, Ed Snook and Dan Huls. They'll talk about existing data, projections and implications for the valley's main river.
Anglers, ag producers and anyone interested on how weather and climate affect fishing and agriculture will hear about snowpack, runoff and river flows. The speakers will be at the Corvallis Grange Hall, just west of the Woodside-US 93 intersection Wednesday, May 29 at 6 p.m.
