Corey Taylor Is Engaged To Alicia Dove
Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor announced on Instagram today that he's engaged to girlfriend Alicia Dove.
An image captioned "L’adorilust. Forever. And Ever." showed Dove, who is a professional dancer and fire artist, wearing her new engagement ring. When a fan on Twitter asked Dove how Taylor popped the question, she revealed it was after the couple had breakfast at their home in Las Vegas.
"After breakfast at home, as I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring," she replied. "Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats, nothing fancy. It was fucking perfect."
With the engagement, Dove has been responding to fans on Twitter asking about how the couple first met and favorite memories. She shared that she first encountered her now fiancée while she was a cheerleader for the Atlanta Falcons.
But apparently it wasn't a love at first sight situation for the couple. When a fan asked if she thought they'd date when they first met she responded, "No. Not at all. Jay and I ran into CT at a Knot show. I was with a huge group of guy friends and we thanked him for the tix. He shook everyone’s hand BUT MINE. He looked at me dead in the eyes, and turned away. I was like wow Corey Taylor is weird but ok."
Cherry Bombs, the dance and performance group Dove is the director and founder of, opened for Stone Sour on their Hydrograd tour starting in 2017.
Taylor and Dove confirmed their relationship when they posted photos of each other in May 2018.
Slipknot have a new album coming out in August, and three huge tours — one with Metallica — lined up through the end of the year.
Congratulations to the happy couple, and we wish them the very best during this exciting time!
