It didn't end up going the way Dante Olson, the Olson family, and Griz fans had hoped. When the 255th name was announced, the final name in the 2020 NFL Draft, it was a shock to many who thought the former Montana linebacker would be the first Grizzly taken in the draft since 2016. Instead, Olson will have to take a different path to playing football on Sundays.

A record-breaking career at Montana, an All-American, and the Buck Buchanan Award winner this past season, Dante Olson will now take on the challenge of making the Philadelphia Eagles roster for the upcoming NFL season. Shortly after the draft concluded, news surfaced of Olson signing with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent. Of course, we're keeping our fingers crossed that there is in fact a season, so we can watch his efforts to live out his NFL dream.

The draft wasn't kind to the Big Sky Conference as not a single player was taken. In fact, only six FCS players were picked over the three days and seven rounds of selections.

We can't wait to follow along and see what the future has in store for Dante Olson.
