Eddie the Eagle looks like it could be this generation’s Cool Runnings…maybe…sort of — anyway, it looks charming as all get-out thanks to Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman, two actors who have charisma just seeping out of their pores. Although it’s not a huge blockbuster movie with superheroes, it is a heartwarming sports dramedy, which makes Eddie the Eagle’s new ad debuting during the Super Bowl sort of a no-brainer.

But for those who still feel confused about why this olympic-centric story is promoting itself during the Big Game, the ad has been released online ahead of Sunday’s telecast, and it features some real-life athletes (football players, specifically) giving the film their official endorsement. Synergy!

Eddie the Eagle has already screened for a handful of audiences, and word of mouth has been mostly positive — as if you could imagine a scenario in which Egerton and Jackman’s combined charisma could possibly leave you feeling disappointed.

Inspired by true events, Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael “Eddie” Edwards (Taron Egerton), an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself – even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach (played by Hugh Jackman), Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. From producers of Kingsman: The Secret Service, Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton as Eddie, the loveable underdog with a never say die attitude.

Eddie the Eagle also stars Christopher Walken and hits theaters on February 26.
