The biggest concert event of the summer in Missoula lands this Monday, but you can expect some minor campus inconveniences before and after the show.

The University of Montana and Washington-Grizzly Stadium are preparing for Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Pearl Jam and there's a few things drivers and hikers might want to know.

Campus Drive and Washington-Grizzly Stadium will be closed intermittently to traffic today (Friday) through Sunday, August 10-12. The road will be fully closed Sunday evening through Tuesday morning.

UM will close the M Trail and Mount Sentinel for a full 24 hours on Monday because of Stage 2 fire restrictions, which coincides with the pre-concert tailgate from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.. UM will evaluate future Mount Sentinel closures depending on weather conditions.

Parking lot Z next to the Adams Center will be closed through Wednesday. But the Adams Center Ticket Office and Pearl Jam Merch World will be open from noon - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

UM students, faculty and the general public are encouraged to limit or avoid campus driving on Monday. UDASH will be providing free bus shuttle service to campus that day. There are other parking lot closures that will be in effect as well through the weekend.

Hey, it's only for a few days. Your patience and understanding are much appreciated. This concert is a HUGE event and what the heck...Pearl Jam is nice enough to come and get Washington-Grizzly Stadium all warmed up for Griz football, right?

Enjoy, concert-goers! Our thanks to Paula Short, UM Communications Director/Office of the President for sending the heads-up.
