Fear Factory Deliver ‘Demanufacture’ Live With Support From Soilwork in New York City
Fear Factory are celebrating 20 years of their second studio album, Demanufacture, on their current tour. The band performed the album from beginning to end along with some other notable Fear Factory anthems during their recent show at New York City’s Gramercy Theater.
In what may have been one of the most awesome introductions ever, none other than Dennis Haskins, whom we all know as Mr. Belding from Save By the Bell, came out onstage to introduce his longtime friends in Fear Factory. That’s right, the now 65-year-old beloved principal of Bayside High School is a metal head!
Vocalist Burton C. Bell and company unleashed the album in order from beginning to end, and the level of energy only heightened in Gramercy Theater when singles “Replica” and the band’s cover of the Head of David song “Dog Day Sunrise” were performed. The response from the crowd is what musicians’ dream of, for their music to stand the test of time and that’s exactly what the tracks on Demanufacture have done. The encore was made up of favorites from other albums, including the songs “Edgecrusher,” “Shock,” “Soul Hacker” and the memorable closer “Martyr.”
The Swedish metalers of Soilwork took the stage beforehand for a majestic set. The band is currently touring in promotion of their latest album "The Ride Majestic." The camaraderie onstage between members is evident and so is their talent. Soilwork have well over a decade of experience as a band and have made a household name for themselves in the States and all over Europe.
