We have seen a huge influx of out of state folks into Montana, since the start of the pandemic. They are what we are calling "pandemic refugees," searching for less populated parts of the country to hopefully escape COVID 19. But, before the pandemic, we had just regular "refugees" from out of state. People just looking for that Montana way of life. People searching for a more laid back approach at life. People like actor Jeff Bridges.

Jeff has been a part of Montana since the late 1970's and currently lives in Paradise Valley. Jeff met his wife, a local Montana woman, while on the set of the movie "Rancho Deluxe." They married in 1977.

Since then, we have seen Jeff Bridges star in many fantastic rolls on the silver screen. Some of which have become iconic. Characters such as "Jeff 'the Dude' Lebowski."

Well, the "Dude" has just announced that he has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. In a recent post on social media, Jeff Bridges wrote:

As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light.

I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.

I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.

I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends.

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together. Vote.org

Love, Jeff

Since announcing this late Monday, Jeff's fans have been showering him with support. And we fellow Montanans wish him a speedy recovery as well!
