First Night Missoula will celebrate the New Year for the 19th year starting at noon December 31st.

 

Executive Director of the Missoula Cultural Council, Tom Benson, says the entertainment gets bigger and better every year, and 2012 is no exception.

The day will begin at Southgate Mall with the Parade of Hats, emceed by Missoula Mayor Jon Engen.

There will be dozens of musical acts, featuring everything from ballet to belly dancing, duets, trios, quartets and big bands.

The night will end at the University Center with the Ed Norton Big Band to usher in the New Year.

First Night Missoula buttons are available before December 31st at many locations throughout the city. The price goes up to $15 on December 31st. Here's a link to the Missoula Cultural Council website.
