Watch Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody Sing National Anthem
You can add Five Finger Death Punch's Ivan Moody to the list of musicians who have taken on the National Anthem, but Moody's recent performance came during a tour stop rather than a sporting event.
In a new video package put together for the band, Moody is shown walking out onto the stage last month at the Ozarks Amphitheatre in Camdenton, Missouri with a U.S. flag, and breaking into an unaccompanied performance of the National Anthem, which gained vocal followers from the audience as it continued.
Five Finger Death Punch have been donating a portion of their ticket sales from each stop to the Gary Sinise Foundation, which benefits both America's servicemen and women as well as first responders and their families. The video package also shows some of the police in attendance along with a short comment.
After the performance, Moody brought out his personal bodyguard Doc, who served 22 years in the Army and recently entered back into civilian life. Doc was presented with the flag as he walked offstage.
The musician continued to be in a giving spirit as the concert continued, spotting a woman holding up a sign who had been a cancer survivor and presenting her with his specially made cobra mic stand. Watch the video in full below.
Five Finger Death Punch recently broke from the studio where they've been recording their eighth studio album. They're currently on a break from the road, but will resume touring in November. See their upcoming dates here.
