With a huge amount of snow, followed by two days of melting, fog rolled in late Thursday and covered much of western Montana Friday morning, January 20.

National Weather Service forecasters expect the fog to be a weather factor through Saturday morning.

Reduced visibility was a problem in the northern Bitterroot Valley and in the Missoula area, though fog was reported from Conner in the south end of Ravalli County through the rest of the valley.

Headlights, fog lights, slower speeds and defensive driving will get you through.
