Glacier National Park Opens Some Campgrounds Tomorrow
Over the last few weeks, Glacier National Park has slowly been getting back to normal and begun its reopening process. And while it's great to head there for a day trip and do some hiking or biking, a lot of people like to do some camping at Glacier over the summer, and they haven't been able to do it just yet this year thanks to the restrictions surrounding the spread of COVID-19.
Well, good news for campers out there - Starting tomorrow, June 26th, the Fish Creek Campground at Glacier National Park will open to the public. That's the only one for right now, and reservations that were scheduled at St. Mary Campground and Apgar Campground have been cancelled through July 9th.
Some other things are becoming more available too, like lodging and food service in Apgar Village and Lake McDonald Lodge. If you're looking to make a reservation at Fish Creek Campground, head to www.recreation.gov and search for Glacier National Park - it's probably a good idea to act quickly, too.
Are you ready to get back out there in the great outdoors? Camping seems like a pretty good way to socially distance yourself for a couple of days, at least.
