Griz Guard Grabs Conference Player of the Week Award

Given the way the football season ended, :-( ,  we might as well turn our attention to Montana Grizzly basketball.

And our congratulations go out to Griz guard Michael Oguine, who on Monday was named College Madness Big Sky Conference player of the week for his outstanding performances against power conference schools!

In a thrilling overtime victory at Pitt, Michael poured in 29 points, including Montana's final 10 points in regulation. And while the Griz could not overtake Penn State two nights later, Michael contributed another 15 points along with 7 rebounds. He's fun to watch and it was great to see the Griz get a big road win at Pitt last week.

The team is in California tonight and tomorrow night, playing Oral Roberts this evening and either UC Santa Barbara or Pepperdine tomorrow. We got all the action for you on KGVO FM 98.3/AM 1290. Great job, Mike. And GO GRIZ!
